Welcome to the Boldspace Foundation

As a business and B Corp, Boldspace aims to make an objective, positive impact across everything we do.

We have a responsibility to our people, the communities we service, and the planet we live on.

The Boldspace Foundation is one of the ways we will be supporting charities that matter to us throughout the year. And we hope that you will support us!

From bake sales to tackling ultra distances, the Boldspace team will be challenging ourselves throughout the year in order to raise as much money and awareness as possible, for incredibly important causes.

CALM

One in five of us will have suicidal thoughts in our life.

CALM’s vision is that no one feels like suicide is their only option. But right now, too many people are struggling to see a way forward.

Every day in the UK we lose 18 people to suicide. This isn’t just a stat on a page. These are our mums and dads, brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, partners and friends. That’s why CALM is here to help anyone struggling with life - and provide everyone with the skills to help prevent suicide.

BRACE Dementia Research

BRACE funds world class clinical and laboratory research into Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia to find better treatments, achieve earlier diagnosis and one day, a cure.

Epilepsy Action

Epilepsy Action has been fighting to improve the lives of people with epilepsy for over 70 years, and they've delivered some life-changing support in that time. Epilepsy Action's vision is: A world without limits for people with epilepsy.

My Shining Star

My Shining Star is a children's cancer charity that offers advice and practical support for families affected by cancer. To date, the charity has supported well over 5,000 families in the UK.

Our challenges

Challenge 1: Miles for Minds

Between April to June, the Boldspace team will aim to cover as many miles as possible to help in raising awareness and money for mental health charity, CALM. The challenge will end with a full team walk to Oxfordshire.

The goal is to achieve 1,220 miles a month - this is to mark the fact that just £12.20 is how much it costs to fund a potentially life saving chat on the CALM helpline.

Challenge 2: Make a Difference

Boldspace is taking on the Make a Difference challenge to support BRACE, a dementia charity, for our Q2 Boldspace Foundation initiative. Our team is diving into learning fun new talents like candle making and knitting. We'll be selling these handmade creations to raise funds. Plus, we're hosting a separate cake sale to boost our efforts. It's all about combining creativity and teamwork to make a positive impact and support BRACE's important work. Join us in making a real difference!

Challenge 3: It Takes a Village

In this challenge we are delighted to support My Shining Star. The charity motto "It takes a village" is centred around their people coming together, united in their passion to campaign and to support children and other parents. Drawing inspiration from the motto, we will running a series of group-led fundraising activities from October through to the festive season.
